Fastenal Co. (Nasdaq: FAST), Winona, MN, reported sales for January of $394.4 million, a 17.4 percent increase year-over-year. Daily sales increased 12 percent to an average of $17.9 million.
During the month, sales to manufacturing customers improved 13.3 percent, while sales to nonresidential construction customers increased 7.9 percent.
Employee headcount increased 6 percent year-over-year to 20,814.
