Encore Wire Corp. (NASDAQ Global Select: WIRE), McKinney, TX, reported sales for 2017 of $1.2 billion, an increase of 23.8 percent from the previous year. Profit increased 98.2 percent to $67 million.
Fourth-quarter sales were $301.3 million, an increase of 25.9 percent from the same period the previous year. Profit was $28.5 million, compared to $11.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2016.
