EDGE Global Supply Acquires Two Companies in Brazil

CEO: 'Acquisitions provide a natural geographic and technology expansion for EDGE Brasil.'

EDGE Global Supply has acquired two companies in Brazil: Intereng Automação Industrial Ltda and LAAX Tecnologia Informação Ltda. Intereng and LAAX join Ladder Automação Industrial Ltda, a previous EDGE acquisition in 2012, to create a substantial presence in the Brazilian market.

Intereng, based in Jaboticabal with the branch locations in Americana and Bauru, is an authorized distributor for Belden, Bussmann, Fandis, Fluke, Panduit, Phoenix Contact, Prosoft Technology, Rockwell Automation, Rockwell Software, Tektronix and Veeder Root.

LAAX, based in São Bernardo do Campo, serves the Brazilian datacom market. It is an authorized distributor for Commscope, Fluke Networks, Panduit and Pentair to commercial, institutional and industrial customers.

“These two acquisitions provide a natural geographic and technology expansion for EDGE Brasil," said Bob Eisenbrown, president and CEO of EDGE. "Both companies have had excellent growth and are consistent with the EDGE goal of being a high value added supply chain partner for our customers”.

EDGE Global Supply is a limited liability corporation developed and owned by a group of North American based distributor members.  The founding members of EDGE are French Gerleman Electric Company, Gerrie Electric Wholesale International Inc., Horizon Solutions LLC, Kendall Electric Inc., Kirby Risk Corporation, McNaughton-McKay Electric Company, North Coast Electric Company, Revere Electric Supply Company, The Reynolds Company, Van Meter Industrial Inc. and Werner Electric Supply Company.
