DXP Enterprises Inc. (NASDAQ: DXPE), Houston, TX, reported second quarter sales of $256.2 million, a 20.8 percent decrease over the same period a year ago. Profit decreased 27.9 percent to $5.1 million.
For the first six months, sales were $509.8 million, down 23.4 percent from the prior-year period. Profit decreased 100 percent to $13,000.
