Material handling products manufacturer Columbus McKinnon Corp. (NASDAQ: CMCO), Amherst, NY, reported sales for its fiscal 2018 third quarter ended December 31 of $208.7 million, an increase of 36.9 percent compared to the same period a year ago. The company reported a loss for the quarter of $10.3 million, compared to a profit of $0.5 million the previous year.
U.S. sales were up 10.2 percent year-over-year to $108.1 million. Sales outside of the U.S. increased 84.9 percent to $100.6 million.
Sales for Columbus McKinnon for the first nine months of fiscal 2018 were $625.3 million, an increase of 37.9 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit decreased 0.9 percent to $13.6 million.
