Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH), Dublin, OH, reported fiscal 2019 first-quarter sales of $35.2 billion, up 8 percent compared to the year-ago period. The company posted net earnings of $594 million.
First-quarter sales in its pharmaceuticals segment rose 9 percent to $31.4 billion, due to growth with pharmaceuticals distribution and specialty solutions customers; medical segment sales grew 2 percent to $3.8 billion, driven by new and existing customers, the company said.
