Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH), Dublin, OH, reported sales for the third quarter of $30.7 billion, an increase of 21 percent. Profit increased 6 percent to $386 million.
Sales for the pharmaceutical segment increased 22 percent year-over-year to $27.5 billion, and profit increased 16 percent to $660 million.
For the first nine months of the fiscal year, sales were $90.2 billion, a 20 percent increase from the previous year. Profit increased 19 percent to $1.1 billion.
