Bunzl plc, the international distribution and outsourcing group, has agreed to acquire four businesses in the U.S., Colombia, Canada and France.
Bunzl has agreed to acquire Memphis, TN-based International Sourcing Company Inc., which trades as Cordova Safety Products. Cordova Safety Products, with fiscal 2014 sales of $81 million, sells personal protection equipment, principally gloves.
Bunzl has also agreed to acquire Importadores Exportadores Solmaq SAS, Bogota, Colombia, a supplier of personal protection equipment and other welding and industrial consumables with 2014 sales of COP54.8 billion (US$21.5 million).
Bunzl has acquired GF Inc., Calgary, Canada, a distributor of industrial packaging, warehouse supplies and equipment with 2014 sales of C$81.4 million (US$66 million).
Bunzl has also acquired Ligne T SAS, Montauban, France, a distributor of personal protection equipment, principally workwear, with fiscal 2014 sales of €5.7 million (US$6.4 million).
Including these four acquisitions, Bunzl has acquired or agreed to acquire 10 businesses so far in 2015.
Bunzl also reported that group revenue for the six months ending June 30 is expected to increase 6 percent compared to the previous year, primarily due to growth at constant exchange rates of approximately 5 percent reflecting organic revenue growth of 1 percent.
