Bunzl plc, the UK-based international distribution and outsourcing group, has acquired Planet Clean Canada, Vancouver, BC, a distributor of cleaning and hygiene supplies and equipment to the health care, hospitality, food processing, government, building maintenance and industrial sectors. Terms were not disclosed.
Revenue in 2014 for Planet Clean Canada was C$25.6 million (US$19.5 million). It marked the sixth jan-san acquisition Bunzl has made in Canada in the past two years.
Bunzl also reported that group revenue in the third quarter increased 4 percent compared to the same period last year principally due to acquisitions. The company said it "expects to complete a number of additional acquisitions during the rest of the year."
