The Bossard Group, Switzerland, reported double-digit growth in its second-quarter and first half of 2018. Second-quarter sales grew 15 percent to CHF 225.9 million (US $226 million) after 11 percent growth in the first quarter. Sales in the first half of 2018 rose by 13 percent to CHF 446.3 million (US $447 million), the company said.
The increase reflects solid sales growth across all three of the company’s market regions: Europe, America and Asia.
In Europe, which accounts for nearly 60 percent of the group’s business, second-quarter sales grew 19 percent while first-half sales were up 17 percent. In the Americas, second-quarter sales grew 7 percent while first-half sales rose 4.5 percent. In Asia, second-quarter sales grew 18 percent, and first-half sales grew by 15 percent.
