The Bossard Group, Switzerland, reported sales for the third quarter of CHF 162 million (US$168.9 million), an increase of 6.9 percent year-over-year. As reported in local currency, sales grew 11.3 percent, mainly due to acquisitions.
In America, sales were up 44.1 percent to CHF 39.2 million (US$40.9 million), an increase of 39 percent in local currency. The acquisition of the U.S. distributor Aero-Space Southwest Inc. played a significant part in the upward sales trend.
In Europe, sales decreased 1.9 percent to CHF 95.7 million (US$99.8 million), up 5.7 percent in local currency compared to the same period the previous year. In Asia, sales were up 1.5 percent to CHF 27.1 million (US$28.2 million), up 1.1 percent in local currency.
For the first nine months, the company reported sales of CHF 498.4 million (US$519.5 million), an increase of 5.9 percent from 2014, or 9.6 percent in local currency.
