The Bossard Group, Switzerland, reported sales for the third quarter of CHF 194.6 million (US$200.1 million), an increase of 12.4 percent year-over-year. As reported in local currency, sales grew 11.9 percent.
In America, sales were up 11.1 percent to CHF 52 million (US$53.5 million), an increase of 10.1 percent in local currency. The increase was mostly due to the acquisition of U.S. based Arnold Industries in September of 2016.
In Europe, sales increased 12.5 percent to CHF 111.3 million (US$114.4 million), up 12.1 percent in local currency compared to the same period the previous year. In Asia, sales were up 13.8 percent to CHF 31.3 million (US$32.2 million), up 14.1 percent in local currency.
For the first nine months, the company reported sales of CHF 589.7 million (US$606.3 million), an increase of 14.1 percent from 2016, or 13.9 percent in local currency.
