Barnes Group Inc. (NYSE: B), Bristol, CT,  has appointed Patrick Hurley to senior vice president and chief technology officer, effective immediately.

Prior to joining Barnes, Hurley was  general manager, Asia Pacific, and chief technology officer at A123 Systems, LLC, where he was responsible for developing and executing the R&D engineering and technology strategy for new product development for the company’s global products portfolio.
