Atlas Copco, Stockholm, Sweden, has agreed to acquire Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum, Cologne, Germany, the vacuum business of OC Oerlikon Corp. AG, for a total enterprise value of €486 million (US$517.7 million).
Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum has 1,600 employees and had 2014 revenues of €358 million (US$381.4 million).
“Leybold will strengthen our technology platform for superior vacuum solutions,” said Nico Delvaux, president of Atlas Copco’s compressor technique business area.
