Atlas Copco, Stockholm, Sweden, has agreed to acquire Capitol Research Equipment Inc., Chantilly, VA, commonly known as Capitol Vacuum Parts. Terms were not disclosed.
Capitol Research Equipment, with 15 employees and 2014 sales of $3.1 million, is a parts and service provider for vacuum pumps. The business will become part of Edwards Vacuum LLC within the vacuum solutions division in Atlas Copco’s compressor technique business area.
The acquisition strengthens Atlas Copco's presence in the global vacuum market.
