Swedish manufacturer Atlas Copco reported sales for 2015 SEK 100.2 billion (US$11.8 billion), up 9 percent over 2015. Organic revenues declined 2 percent. Orders increased 7 percent, with an organic decline of 4 percent.
Profit for the year fell 4 percent to SEK 11.7 billion (US$1.4 billion).
For the fourth quarter, sales were SEK 25.6 billion (US$3 billion), up 1 percent year-over-year. Organically, revenues fell 2 percent. Order intake fell 2 percent, 5 percent on an organic basis.
Profit for the quarter plummeted 69 percent to SEK 1 billion (US$117.6 million).
Automotive and electronics segments showed healthy demand while mining, construction, and oil and gas remained weak. Europe and India improved while order levels fell in the U.S., China, Brazil and Australia.
