Swedish manufacturer Atlas Copco (STO: ATCOA, ATCOB), Nacka, Sweden, reported revenues for 2014 of SEK 93.7 billion (US$11.3 billion), up 12 percent from 2013. Profit for the year improved 1 percent to SEK 12.2 billion (US$1.5 billion).
For the fourth quarter, the company reported revenues of SEK 25.4 billion (US$3.1 billion), a 19 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit increased 15 percent to SEK 3.3 billion (US$399 million).
The company reported demand for equipment and services improved compared to the previous quarter, supported by growth in the service business. Demand improved for industrial tools and assembly systems.
