Atlas Copco, Stockholm, Sweden, has acquired U.S. vacuum pump service provider Innovative Vacuum Solutions Inc., Tampa, FL. Terms were not disclosed.

Innovative Vacuum Solutions, which has 19 employees and annual revenues of $4.2 million, becomes part of Edwards Vacuum LLC within the vacuum solutions division in Atlas Copco’s compressor technique business area. The privately owned company specializes in the repair and maintenance of industrial and high vacuum pumps and related equipment, mainly on the East Coast.

“This acquisition fits well into our strategy of increasing our presence in the U.S. vacuum market by providing high-quality service for our customers,” said Nico Delvaux, President of Atlas Copco’s compressor technique business area.
