Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE: ARW), Centennial, CO, reported sales for the third quarter of $5.9 billion, an increase of 4.2 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit increased 7.8 percent to $117.7 million.
Global components third-quarter sales of $3.9 billion increased 6 percent year-over-year, while global ECS third-quarter sales of $2 billion increased 1 percent.
For the first nine months, sales were $17.4 billion, an increase of 5.2 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit increased 5.6 percent to $358.2 million.
