AMETEK Inc. (NYSE: AME), Berwyn, Pennsylvania, a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices, reported third quarter sales of $1.3 billion, up 7% compared to the third quarter of 2018. The company reported net income of $220.7 million for the quarter.
Third quarter sales in the company’s Electronic Instruments Group were $815.6 million, up 10% compared with the same quarter of 2018; sales in its Electromechanical Group were $461.1 million, up 2% compared to the third quarter of 2018.
Sales for the first nine months were $3.9 billion, up 7.8% over the same period in 2019. Profit was $640.5 million.
