Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZ) will open a second Oklahoma fulfillment center, to be located in Tulsa. The announcement comes just two weeks after the e-commerce giant announced it would open its first fulfillment center in the state, in South Oklahoma City.
The Tulsa facility will create 1,500 jobs, the company said.
Amazon employees at the more than 600,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Tulsa fulfillment center will work alongside innovative technology created by Amazon Robotics. Employees at the fulfillment center will pick, pack and ship small items to customers such as books, household items and toys.
