Amazon Shipping Warehouse to Open in August

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZ), Seattle, is scheduled to open a packing and shipping center in Salem, Oregon. The facility is slated to open in August, bringing 1,000 jobs to the area.

In 2018, Amazon announced it would adopt a $15 an hour minimum wage. Oregon's minimum wage will increase to $11.25 on July 1 and to $13.50 in 2022.
