Motion control manufacturer Allied Motion Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: AMOT), Amherst, NY, reported sales for the first quarter of $63.7 million, up 6.9 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit decreased 28.5 percent to $2.1 million.
“Sales in the first quarter were up nearly 7 percent from last year as the contribution from the Heidrive acquisition offset the continued softness in our vehicle market,” said CEO Dick Warzala.
