Swedish manufacturer Alfa Laval reported sales for 2017 of SEK 35.3 billion (US$4.5 billion), down 0.9 percent over sales in 2016. Profit rose 29.2 percent to SEK 3 billion (US$0.4 billion).
For the fourth quarter, sales were SEK 10.1 billion (US$1.3 billion), up 2 percent in a year-over-year comparison. Profit for the period rose 72.2 percent to SEK 1.1 billion (US$0.1 billion).
