Airgas Merchant Gases Announces New President

Thomas R. Stringer now president of Airgas Merchant Gases.

Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG), Radnor, PA, announced that Thomas R. Stringer has been named president of Airgas Merchant Gases, effective immediately.

"Tom brings to Airgas a wealth of technical expertise and leadership experience in both the power generation and industrial gas industry," said Thomas S. Thoman, Airgas' division president of gases production.

Stringer joins Airgas from Alstom Power, an electrical power generation and transmission systems company, where he spent the past six years in leadership roles.
