Airgas Inc. (NYSE: ARG), Radnor, PA, a supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases, has acquired industrial gas and welding supply distributor Valley Air Supply Inc., Muscle Shoals, AL. Terms were not disclosed.

Valley Air Supply, with 2014 sales of $10 million, has 30 associates and four locations in Muscle Shoals, Decatur and Jasper, AL, and Jackson, TN

"The acquisition of Valley Air Supply's associates and locations into Airgas via our South Region will help to strengthen our position in this important area of the country," said Kevin McBride, Airgas president – south region.

This is Airgas' third acquisition since the beginning of the company's 2016 fiscal year on April 1, including Liberty Welding Supply in Vancouver, WA and eKipro Rentals and Grupo Industrial Daymaga in Mexico.
