Industrial gases distributor Air Products, Lehigh Valley, PA, reported annual fiscal sales of $8.9 billion, up 9.2 percent over the prior year. Net income was $2 billion, up 36.1 percent.
The company reported sales for the fourth quarter of $2.3 billion, up 4.1 percent from the same period in 2017. Net income was $533.7 million, up 16.6 percent from 2017.
By segment, sales in the Americas rose 3.7 percent to $987.1 million; sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa rose 7.8 percent to $554.7 million; and sales in Asia rose 14.7 percent to $633 million, the company reported.
