Industrial gases distributor Air Products, Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, reported second quarter sales of $2.2 billion, up 1.5% over the prior year. Net income was $433.5 million, up 2.3%.
The company reported sales for the first six months of $4.1 billion, up 0.9% from the same period in 2018. Net income was $790.5 million, up 35.1% from 2018.
By segment, sales in the Americas rose 9% to $991.7 million; sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa fell 12% to $494.4 million; and sales in Asia rose 12% to $625.4 million, the company reported.
