Acuity Brands Inc. (NYSE: AYI), Atlanta, reported third-quarter sales of $947.6 million, a 0.4% increase compared with the year-ago period. Profit was $88.4 million, a 21.1% decrease compared with the third quarter of 2018.
For the first nine months of fiscal 2019, Acuity Brands’ sales increased 4.4% to $2.62 billion compared to the year-ago period. Profit was $234.3 million compared with $241.4 million a year ago.
