Switzerland-based power and automation company ABB reported sales for the third quarter of $6.9 billion, a 3% decrease compared to the same period a year ago and a 1% decrease on a like-for-like basis in local currencies. Profit decreased 6% to $515 million.
Year-to-date sales were $20.9 billion, up 3% from the prior-year period and up 2% on a like-for-like basis in local currencies. Profit was down 34% at $1.3 billion.
