Switzerland-based power and automation company ABB reported sales for the third quarter of $8.5 billion, down 13 percent from the third quarter of 2014. Profit decreased 21 percent to $577 million.
Year-to-date sales were $26.2 billion, down 11 percent from the prior-year period. Profit decreased 10 percent to $1.7 billion.
