Switzerland-based power and automation company ABB has acquired startup company NUB3D, Barcelona, Spain, a supplier of 3D white-light scanning sensor technologies that uses digital scans to optimize inspection and quality assurance in manufacturing. Terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands the company's ABB Ability, which connects customers to the internet of things.
