3M (NYSE: MMM), St. Paul, Minnesota, reported third quarter sales of $8 billion, down 2% compared to the third quarter of 2018. Net income was $1.6 billion, down 3.2% compared to a year ago. Organic local-currency sales declined 1.3% year-on-year.
For the first nine months sales fell 3.2% to $24 million. Profit fell 10% to $3.6 billion.
