Two days after announcing a similar acquisition in Colorado, building materials distributor US LBM acquired Nix Door and Hardware (Nix).
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Fort Worth, TX-based window, door and fireplace distributor and installer of windows, doors and fireplaces Nix provides services to residential and commercial customers.
Nix will function as a division of US LBM’s Texas Building Supply.
US LBM Texas and Building Supply operates locations across Texas, with locations in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio.
According to a Sept. 6 news release, the acquisition expands Texas Building Supply’s product and service offerings — lumber, engineered wood products, structural components, roofing, and siding, as well as design and installation services for custom and production millwork, stairs and exterior doors.
On Sept. 4, US LBM shared that it acquired Breckenridge, CO-based Gregory Door & Window.
US LBM is No. 6 on MDM’s Top Distributor’s List for Building Materials/Construction.
