Palmer Johnson Power Systems — a distributor of drivetrain components for industrial off-highway and marine markets and a — has joined The American Waterways Operators as an association member.
AWO represents the tugboat, towboat and barge industry.
Sun Prairie, WI-based PJ Power Systems said its membership move underscores its dedication to providing comprehensive solutions for the marine market, including a strong focus on innovative hybrid propulsion systems.
PJ Power Systems’ marine drivetrain offerings include:
- Marine transmissions
- Marine controls:
- Hybrid propulsion systems
- Vessel monitoring systems; and
- Expert service and support
“By joining the AWO, PJ Power strengthens its commitment to working alongside industry leaders and advocating for the success of the marine transportation sector, with a particular focus on promoting sustainable practices through the adoption of hybrid technology,” the distributor said in a March 22 news release. “We look forward to collaborating with AWO members to address critical industry issues and develop innovative solutions that promote a cleaner future for our waterways.”
PJ Power Systems one of five companies under the umbrella of Palmer Johnson Enterprises. The other four are: Palmer Johnson Enterprises, Hamilton Power Solutions, Alterra Power Systems and Continental Engines. All five serve the off-highway market with powertrain and engine solutions.
