Hardlines distributor Orgill appointed Clay Jackson as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
In his new position, Jackson will oversee Orgill’s purchasing and operations teams, contributing to retail services and strategic programs. With more than 20 years of experience at Tractor Supply Company, Jackson will officially join Orgill on Jan. 20, where he will report to Orgill’s President and CEO Boyden Moore.
“We currently have more than half-dozen former retailers serving in executive leadership roles at Orgill,” Moore said in a Dec. 27 news release. “We think this gives us a truly unique perspective on how to best serve our customers. It gives our team a better understanding of the challenges our customers face and how we can better help drive their success. Clay’s experience helping drive the growth and success of one of the best performing retailers in the industry will add even more perspective and real-world insights to our team.”
Orgill said that Jackson has played a key role in driving Tractor Supply’s operational and financial growth, most recently as VP of merchandise planning and inventory, where he managed $15 billion in merchandise strategy and category management.
In addition to Jackson joining the leadership team, Orgill announced several other executive promotions:
- Craig Cowart to SVP
- Francisco Feraud to VP of Sales, International
- Laura Luotonen to VP of Credit
- Jim Rivas to VP at Orgill and President of Tyndale Advisors
- Jordan Tice to VP of Assortment Planning and Dealer Field Operations
