Great Lake Fasteners Acquires Superior Components Supply

Great Lake Fasteners expands into the Atlantic and southern states with its newest acquisition of SCS.

The Great Lakes Fasteners Group has acquired Superior Components Supply (SCS), headquartered in Concord, NC.

Superior Components Supply, founded by Chuck and Donna Gerlach in 2014, supplies manufacturers with a range of fasteners along with kitting service and managed inventory programs. The company possesses an inventory of truck and trailer products, including hinges, handles and latches.

“Joining forces with Kevin and the Great Lakes Fasteners Groups is an exciting opportunity for us. We share a common commitment to quality and customer service, and this partnership will us to serve our customers even better,” Chuck Gerlach said in a July 17 news release. “We worked very hard to build this business and when we met Great Lakes it just felt right. Superior now has the platform and resources to accelerate our growth and expand our products and services.”

The Great Lakes Fasteners Group, headquartered in Twinsburg, OH, is a fastener distribution and manufacturing company that provides customers with an array of standard, metric and made-to-print fasteners.
