Herndon, Virginia-based roofing and building products distributor Beacon announced April 3 it has completed two acquisitions: Al’s Roofing Supply Inc. in California and Prince Building Systems in Wisconsin. Financial terms were not disclosed for either transaction. Beacon ranked No. 5 on MDM’s Top Building Materials/Construction Distributors list in 2022.
Founded in 1982, Al’s Roofing Supply has been serving the San Francisco Bay Area for over 40 years. The California-based roofing distributor operates four branches in Hayward (headquarters), Newark, San Carlos and San Jose.
“We are thrilled to announce that Al’s is joining Beacon,” Al’s Roofing Supply General Manager Kevin Lewis said in a news release. “This next chapter of our history will enable us to continue serving our loyal customers and to grow by bringing the benefits of Beacon’s footprint and network.”
“The trusted relationships Kevin and the team have built will endure and deepen as their capabilities expand as part of Beacon,” Nevin Holly, Vice President of Beacon’s Pacific Region, said in the release.
Based in Neillsville, Wisconsin, Prince Building Systems has been serving lumber yards in the Upper Midwest for over a decade.
“Prince Building Systems is excited to join Beacon and provide customers both a broader range of services and a larger geography,” Prince President and CEO Steve Binder said in the release.
“We are proud to embrace the customers who rely on Prince Building Systems and deliver to them the additional capabilities of Beacon’s industry leadership,” Beacon National Vice President Clint Wade said in the release.
