American Welding & Gas (AWG) acquired Texas-based Speed Industrial Gas, a welding supplies, industrial and specialty gas distributor. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed
AWG will expand its market with new locations in San Antonio, Taylor and Pleasanton, TX. According to a June news release, the Taylor location northeast of Austin, TX, will align with AWG’s Coastal Welding Supply operations in Texas and Louisiana.
AWG, based in Raleigh, NC, is a distributor of industrial, medical, beverage and specialty gases with over 100 retail locations and 25 gas fill plants across 23 states.
AWG is on MDM’s 2024 Top Distributors List for Gases and Welding Supplies.
