Atlas Copco — a Sweden-based distributor of compressed air and vacuum solution, energy solution, dewatering and industrial pump, industrial power tools and machine vision solutions — acquired Mississippi-based Compressed Air Technologies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Compressed Air Technologies provides customers with air systems and industrial equipment — air compressors, dryers and accessories including systems auditing. As an authorized distributor of Quincy Compressor products, the company distributes to clients in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and Arkansas.

“This acquisition allows Quincy Compressor to enhance and grow a stronger presence in the Southeastern United States,” Compressor Technique Business Area President Philippe Ernens said in a July 29 news release.

Compressed Air Technologies, which has 53 employees in Mississippi, will join Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique Service division.
