Power transmission/motion control distributor sales were down 1.9 percent in the third quarter of 2016 compared to the same period in 2015, according to the quarterly Sales History & Outlook Report from the Power Transmission Distributors Association.
Leading indicators, however, suggest that the declining trend in distributors’ total sales will not persist through all of 2017. The 3Q2016 SHOR, which also includes manufacturer sales, can be found at ptda.org/SHOR.
