The Industrial Supply Association (ISA) has launched the Women in Industry Mentorship Program — an initiative aimed to address opportunities and challenges women face in the industrial market.
ISA detailed that the program’s main objectives include: fostering leadership development, meaningful connections, a strong network of allies and advocates and empowering women at every stage of their career.
“The Women in Industry Mentorship Program is a game-changer for our industry,” Vallen Distribution Senior VP Sonia Timmons said in a Sept. 12 news release. “By providing women with the support, guidance and resources they need to succeed, we are not only investigating in their futures but also in the future of the entire industrial supply channel. This program is about creating a more inclusive dynamic workforce.”
ISA said the program aims to develop and retain talent through a structured matching process that ensures mentors and mentees are paired based on professional background, skill and goals.
“This mentorship program is not just an opportunity for individual growth; it’s a strategic move for companies looking to cultivate leaders and drive innovation,” ISA Senior Director of Business Development Joby Strobo added.
Applications for the program are now open — due by Oct. 18. Mentees are eligible to join for an introductory fee of $150.
