The parent company of Industrial Distribution, publisher of ID Magazine and the annual “Big 50” top-grossing North American distributors listing, announced to its employees on Monday the company would close its doors effective immediately, according to multiple news sources.
In addition to Industrial Distribution, Advantage Business Marketing, formerly known as Advantage Business Media, owned several B2B titles, including Manufacturing.Net, Food Manufacturing and Manufacturing Business Technology.
Promotional materials for Industrial Distribution describe a product portfolio of integrated marketing solutions for print and online products, a digital magazine, e-newsletters, resource guides and sponsored webcasts for the industrial distribution market.
“This is a magazine that has a long, long history and it’s a real shame to see it leave the marketplace,” says a former staffer. “We were really trying to speak to the needs of industrial distributors and it’s a shame to see it go.”
Industrial Distribution was founded in 1911.
