Industrial Distributor Co-op (IDCO) — a cooperative for independent distributors of hose, fittings, gaskets, rubber materials and other products — has named its 2023 Member and Supplier of the Year.

Commerce Hose is IDCO’s 2023 Dixon LeGros Member of the Year in recognition of exceptional achievements and contributions over the past year.

The co-op notes that Commerce Hose has seen its business triple in revenue since joining IDCO, including 50% growth with IDCO suppliers in 2023 alone. Recent strategic partnerships have included becoming a major West Coast distributor for Kuriyama, and MTO’s largest IDCO customer.

IDCO noted that Commerce Hose used five additional IDCO suppliers in 2023.

Commerce Hose Owner Jason Bethel just concluded his tenure on IDCO’s Board of Directors, on which he served as Membership Chair. Under his watch, IDCO welcomed the second-largest class of new members since the co-op launched in 1993.

IDCO recognized seven fellow members as Outstanding Members of the Year, including Hose of South Texas and Cross Company as the other top finalists for the Member of the Year Award. Other Outstanding Members included ARG, Alliance Hose, Elite Supply, Hose & Rubber Supply and Sullivan Supply.

Supplier

PT (formerly PT Couplings) is IDCO’s 2023 Bob Lyons Supplier of the Year in recognition of distinguishing itself through exceptional sales growth, active participation and substantial contributions to IDCO member services.

The co-op noted that PT saw 21% revenue growth in 2023 — becoming IDCO’s third-largest supplier — and has grown 100% since 2020. The group cited PT’s involvement in key IDCO initiatives such as the expo, PIM and IDCO U as demonstrating its commitment to fostering a collaborative environment within the co-op.

PT Marketing Director Ali Kirtley currently serves as IDCO’s Women’s Leadership Chair, while PT Sales & Marketing VP Brent Lilly serves on the Membership Committee.

IDCO noted that Brennan (16% growth in 2023) and Midland Industries (20% growth in 2023) were closer runners-up for the award.
