ECIA Distributor Component Sales for North America Rose 14.8% in 3Q

Third quarter sales were down 1.5 percent compared to second quarter sales.

The Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA), Atlanta, GA, reported distributor component sales for North America rose 14.8 percent in the third quarter. Sales for the quarter were the second highest in dollars since ECIA started collecting distributor sales data in the first quarter of 2015. Third quarter sales were down 1.5 percent compared to second quarter sales. Book to Bill was positive at 1.02.  Distributor component sales totaled $4.2 billion for the quarter.
