Hardware, lumber and building materials buying cooperative Do it Best has added lumber products to its eCommerce platform.
The initiative adds sales channels for members and improves the shopping experience for current customers, the company said.
“Our data showed that lumber was among the top searches on our site, indicating a clear demand,” Do It Best Divisional Manager of eCommerce, Marketing & Merchandising Brianna Wells said in an Aug. 12 news release. “Many of our members sell lumber, and we saw an opportunity to boost their sales by catering to consumers who prefer to pre-buy online before visiting the store.”
Fort Wayne, IN-based Do it Best will monitor direct online sales and overall site traffic to measure the success of online lumber sales through its eCommerce plaftorm.
“We’re dedicated to collaborating with our members to broaden the variety of lumber products available for online purchase,” Wells added. “Our goal is to help our members remain competitive in a dynamic market, and by consistently improving our online offerings, we can equip them with the necessary tools for success.”
Do it Best serves member-owned locations across the U.S. and in more than 50 countries — with annual sales of approximately $5 billion.
