MDM’s biggest annual content feature is nearly here.

After compiling data in survey submissions and hundreds of emails; sifting through financial reports and company websites; and triangulating with industry experts over the past few months; our team is excited to reveal the MDM 2024 Top Distributors feature.

We plan to launch the downloadable PDF version of our lists and the web listings directory on June 13 alongside the feature’s accompanying webcast, which airs at 1:00 ET. Register for free here.

Our free 1-hour webcast will explore the key factors that shaped this year’s rankings and feature analysis from Dorn Group’s John Gunderson, Electrical Trends’ David Gordon, Webb Analytics’ Craig Webb and MDM’s Tom Gale, along with myself as the program’s moderator.

I’ll provide a full explanation of our Top Distributors methodology and production process during our webcast, so I highly encourage you to attend, as it will provide a lot of good context to keep in mind as you peruse our lists.

I’m also happy to share that this year’s feature is bigger than ever.

With the support from the integration into the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors, we were able to expand this year’s edition by three lists. The feature now represents 20 different product verticals in wholesale distribution and over 200 companies — providing the industry’s definitive who’s-who for its largest market movers. 

As always, our lists are purely based on revenue, removing any subjectivity from the process.

I want to give my sincere thanks to everyone who completed our Top Distributors survey or provided the information we needed via other channels. Chasing down all of this revenue data is always a major challenge, and we appreciate the cooperation with the distributors involved. Gunderson, Gordon, Webb and other industry experts also played a crucial role in helping to obtain confirmed revenues that we were missing and to and triangulate solid estimates for those distributors that elected to not share that info.

It’s truly a team effort to put this project together each year. We do it because we know its value in serving as a snapshot of the top players in differentiated distribution markets.
