Data: Planned Industrial Projects End 2023 on Strong Note

The distribution and supply chain sector saw healthy month-to-month growth in project counts, with Texas leading the way geographically.

SalesLeads, a B2B sales leads and account intelligence platform, tracked 424 new planned industrial construction projects in December across North America, one more than in November. The firm noted that industrial projects activity has remained stable in recent months.

Here’s how those planned projects break down by type in December:

  • Manufacturing Facilities – 137 New Projects
  • Processing Facilities – 95 New Projects
  • Distribution and Industrial Warehouse – 204 New Projects
  • Power/Energy/Oil and Gas – 9 New Projects
  • Laboratory Facilities – 20 New Projects
  • Mine – 0 New Projects
  • Terminal – 0 New Projects
  • Pipeline – 0 New Projects

  • Texas – 29
  • California – 28
  • New York- 25
  • Florida – 22
  • Ohio – 22
  • Michigan – 19

The 204 distribution and supply chain industry new projects that SalesLeads tracked improved from 175 in November and was the third month out of the last four in 2023 with at least 200 projects.
