Rexnord Corp. (NYSE: RXN), Milwaukee, WI, reported sales for the third quarter ended Dec. 31 of $460.2 million, down 7.4 percent year-over-year. Core sales decreased 4 percent. Profit for the quarter increased to $24.4 million from $2.2 million the prior year.
For the first nine months of the fiscal year, sales were $1.4 billion, a 6.6 percent decrease from the previous year. Profit increased 32.6 percent to $68.3 million.
