The Timken Company (NYSE: TKR), Canton, OH, reported full year sales for 2015 of $2.9 billion, a 6.6 percent decrease from the previous year. The company reported a loss for the year of $70.8 million, compared to a prior-year profit of $170.8 million.
Sales for the fourth quarter were $714.4 million, a 6.2 percent decrease over the same period a year ago. The company reported a loss for the quarter of $35.7 million, compared to a prior-year profit of $46.5 million.
Mobile industries sales for the full year were $1.6 billion, a 7.5 percent decrease from the previous year. In the fourth quarter, sales were $380.3 million, down 2.3 percent year-over-year.
Process industries sales for the full year decreased 5.5 percent to $1.3 billion. In the fourth quarter, sales were $334.1 million, down 10.4 percent compared to the same period a year ago.
